Situated on the picturesque Yarra River, the Melbourne Convention Centre features state of the art facilities including well appointed meeting rooms with close access to exhibition areas. The Centre is also located just a short stroll from many of the city's restaurants, hotels and shopping areas making it easily accessed by foot or public transport.

The entertainment precincts of Crown complex, Southbank boulevard, Docklands and Federation Square are a pleasant ten minute riverside stroll.

Getting Around Melbourne
Trams, Trains and Buses Melbourne's trams are legendary! Enjoy a free tram experience, and see the city sights on the 'City Circle' trams that run in and around the city. Jump off and on at places of interest.

Both Flinders Street train station and Southern Cross train station are within walking distance of the conference venue, with tram stops on Spencer and Clarendon streets that are close to the conference venue.

Taxis
Melbourne is regarded as a relatively safe city, making it attractive to explore. Taxis (all are yellow), rental vehicles and chauffeured limousine services are all available. A taxi rank is situated at the Spencer Street exit of the MECC (conference venue), or can be flagged on the street.

Getting to and from the Airport
Melbourne airport is 25km/30-45mins (non peak hour traffic) from the city. From the airport you can take the Skybus shuttle service to the CBD and city hotels(approximately AUD$15), a yellow taxi (approximately AUD$45), a rental car or a pre-booked limousine.

From Coach and Rail Terminals
If arriving by coach or rail, these terminals are located within the city so a short tram or taxi ride from these will get you to your city accommodation
